PAPER TIGER (PAPES) is a Brooklyn-based electronic music producer and founding member of the Doomtree hip hop collective. He’s contributed beats to Billboard Top 200 albums, including Doomtree’s All Hands, P.O.S’ Never Better, and Dessa’s Chime. (Pitchfork describes Paper's sound with “crisp drums, excellent production and interesting mixes.”) As a live DJ and producer, he has toured throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including plays at Glastonbury, Lalapalooza, SXSW, X Games, and Riot Fest.

As a solo artist, Paper Tiger has created an ambitious range of material, including In Other Words: a moving 16-song collection that features female vocals, but
no lyrics. More recently, he collaborated with vocalist James Gundersen on CLOQUET, an upbeat,
pop-leaning project, influenced by 80’s and 90’s
indie music.

His work in Film and TV include an original score for the HBO documentary “Rock In A Hard Place.” He's composed for world-wide brands and culture-makers including HBO, Condé Nast, The New Yorker, VH1, Beats By Dre, and Nike.

Together with Doomtree cohorts Sims, P.O.S, and Lazerbeak, Paper Tiger is a founding member of the group SHREDDERS. The crew released and toured Dangerous Jumps in 2017 and the follow-up album Great Hits in August of 2019.
